Turning by Darrah Cloud was mid-rehearsal when the pandemic hit, but we'll be back at it next season at Centenary Stage Company in Hackettstown, NJ!
I was also so looking forward to playing Little Red in Into the Woods at the Peterborough Players (dir. by Gus Kaikkonen) this summer, but alas, that'll have to wait too.
Sending love to all and I can't wait until it's safe to tread the boards again! <3
I'm thrilled to be heading back to Centenary Stage Company for the holiday season! Annie The Musical has been a favorite of mine for a looooong time! :) I'm playing Grace to Osborne Focht's Oliver Warbucks. Michael Blevins is our fearless director/choreographer. Our production runs November 23rd through December 9th. Head to CSC's website for more info! :)
This spring I'm participating in several readings of Darrah Cloud's Turning. It's a fabulous play (3 f, 1 m) about the NJ women who represented the US in gymnastics at the 1936 Olympics. So far, we've done two readings of excerpts at Centenary Stage Co. in Hackettstown, NJ and at the NJPAC Stage Exchange kick off event in Newark, NJ. Here are further details on upcoming events!
I'm having a wonderful time working on Ray Cooney's CAUGHT IN THE NET at Mountain Playhouse in Jennerstown, PA! Guy Stroman directed. I'm such a smitten kitten right now--loving the cast, crew, and entire Mountain Playhouse community. We run through August 20th! :)
I'm so excited to share this spot I recorded for Jared The Galleria of Jewelry with fellow CESD voice over artist Jeremy Redleaf (a man of many talents--check out his film work!). I'm also headed to the Peterborough Players in a few days to start working on Steel Magnolias directed by artistic director and friend Gus Kaikkonen. I'll be playing Annelle and am truly looking forward to being reunited with dear friends up there. We run February 15-26th.
I'm currently playing Glenda in A Child's Christmas in Wales at The Shakespeare Theatre of NJ on the campus of Drew University. We opened this past Saturday and run until January 1st! Joseph Discher is directing and I am positiviely smitten by each and every person in the cast. Here is a link introducing you to the cast, crew, and creative team.
Also, keep an ear out for the Subway radio spot I recently recorded! :) Much love to Roger Becker and the agent team at CESD--Anita Reilly, Billy Collura, and Sam Clifford as well as Matt Goldberg and Marissa Gomez.
Happy holidays! :) <3
I'm thrilled to be returning home to Centenary Stage Company to work on Gina Gionfriddo's play BECKY SHAW. I'm a huge Gionfriddo fan and am living the dream with the fine folks pictured above! We open this coming Friday--February 19th and run through March 6th. Tony nominee Lynne Taylor-Corbett is directing. Here's the full cast...
Max: Terence MacSweeny (edgy with a side of dreamy)
Becky Shaw: Suzy Kimball (brings Becky to life on-stage, bakes a mean cinnamon roll off-stage)
Suzanna: Yours Truly
Andrew: Aaron Matteson (dreamy with a side of dreamy)
Susan: Catherine Rust (pioneer of Centenary's Women Playwright Series!)
Our fearless stage manager is Dani (Danielle) Constance and the ASM's we couldn't live (or call line) without are Tom Farber and Stephanie Anderson. Follow the Centenary Stage Company FaceBook page to find out how you could win tickets!
Otherwise head on over here for more info. :)
Hope to see you there!
I'm excited to announce that I've been nominated for a NH Theatre Award. I'm a finalist in the Best Supporting Actress category for portraying Amy Spettigue in Charley's Aunt at the Peterborough Players. Charles Morey directed and several other dear Players friends are nominated this year as well. The awards ceremony will take place at the Capitol Center for the Arts (I played there recently as part of my fall touring contract) in Concord, NH on January 23rd.
I'll be spending the next few months touring with Boston Chamber Theatre! I'm excited to work with new folks and travel the country sharing dramatic adaptations of 19th century literature. Expect fun road photos!
Summer is in full swing and Charley's Aunt directed by Charles Morey just opened last night! Here is the trailer. :) I'm so excited to be working with such wonderful people. We're all having a grand time. For tickets visit www.playerstix.com
